台灣中部地區中西藥物併用之概況調查

自從健保制度實施以來，中、西醫門診資源增加，民眾就診方便，同時看中醫西醫的機會大增。一般民眾認為中藥藥性較為溫和，慢性病病患常在就診西醫之同時，又看中醫服中藥，中西藥併用應是台灣一直存在的社會問題。中西藥併用是否會產生不良反應？到目前為止，台灣尚缺具體性科學化的統計報告，國外已有文獻發現葡萄柚汁與許多藥物有交互作用發生，因而引起嚴重之不良反應，甚至死亡。最近國外也有報告顯示，常用之抗憂鬱草藥聖約翰草、中藥如當歸、丹參、人蔘、銀杏等乃至於複方的小柴胡湯都與西藥產生交互作用，可見中西藥併用可能發生不良反應，只是目前欠缺統計性社會調查。欲瞭解台灣民眾中西藥併用可能產生之不良反應，必須先瞭解台灣民眾對中西藥物之使用習慣、中西藥物之併用機率、中西藥物之併用方式及中西藥物之來源等概況。本計畫欲以問卷調查方式，進行台灣中部地區民眾中西藥併用之社會性調查，第一年以中國醫藥學院附設醫院的中西醫門診病患各一千人為對象，試圖初步瞭解民眾使用中西醫的就醫習慣、中西醫門診的就診狀況、各種疾病中西藥物的使用狀況、藥物不良反應、藥物來源、對中西藥物的知悉度、偏好性、自行停藥的可能性，以及健康食品的使用情形、費用及方式等，以說明台灣中部地區民眾中西藥物併用之概況。日後進行大規模調查可以此為依據。

Survey of concurrent use of Chinese medicine and Western medicine in central Taiwan

Since the beginning of National Health Insurance System in 1995, the utilization of the clinic-visiting including Chinese medicine and western medicine have increased. The convenience of the clinic-visiting makes the probability of concurrent use of Chinese medicine and western medicine increase. In addition, the general public think that Chinese medicine is milder then western medicine, therefore patients with chronic diseases who visit western medicine doctors often take Chinese medicine at the same period. Does the concurrent use of Chinese medicine and western medicine result in adverse side effects? The interactions of grapefruit juice with many medicines have been reported. It is reasonabl to suspect adverse side effects resulted from herb-durg interactions.
