世界衛生組織(WHO)傳統醫學標準化之推廣研究

本計劃主要的目的，是針對世界衛生組織(WHO)公布之「傳統醫學國際標準術語」及「國際針灸標準穴位」方案，邀集專家研議未來之因應及推廣措施，藉以提升中醫醫療品質，加速中醫藥國際化的腳步。
所謂傳統醫學在亞洲，主要包含中、日、韓、藏、蒙醫、印度等傳統醫學，其中以中醫學最為悠久並且也廣為流傳，影響中、日、韓、藏、蒙醫等地的傳統醫學發展，典籍與理論也最為詳備，而且對各國傳統醫學的影響也最深。因此，中醫學說中最基礎的名詞術語、以及針灸穴位位置，必須要有一致的規範以利臨床使用，而且必須以國際共通語言來定義，以方便亞州以外的歐洲、美洲的各國醫師來學習與溝通，故以英文作為主要溝通語言，以利於發揚中醫藥針灸，使之能廣泛的在世界各地流傳。
世界衛生組織西太平洋地區曾於2007年公佈「傳統醫學國際標準術語」(WHO INTERNATIONAL STANDARD TERMINOLOGIES ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC REGION)及2008年公佈「國際針灸標準穴位」(WHO STANDARD ACUPUNCTURE POINT LOCATIONS IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC REGION)，使用英文名稱與漢字對照形式，其中「傳統醫學國際標準術語」全書收錄總類、基礎理論、診斷學、臨床各科、治療學、針灸（學）、藥物治療、傳統醫學典籍八大類、三千五百四十三個詞條；而「國際針灸標準穴位」則完成人體361處腧穴之定位，供各國作為醫療、學術研究及資訊交流之用。
台灣中、西醫界自然不能自外於這個趨勢潮流，應召開專家學者會議與說明會，廣為宣佈此一重要之訊息並且尋求對策，這些中醫的術語、腧穴之定位，因為已經有了國際共同的一致標準，不但必須熟悉，而且，必須世界與同步修訂，方能談及國際化的中醫傳統醫學的發展，因此，此一議題在當前顯得十分重要。

The study of the Promotion of the WHO Standard of Traditional medicine

The aim of this project is to announce the「WHO International Standard Terminologies on Traditional Medicine in the Western Pacific Region」 and「WHO Standard Acupuncture Point Locations In The Western Pacific Region (2008)」edited by WHO westernern pacific region.
We will invited 20 acupuncture experts to discuss on the most important topics on the TCM terminology and anatomic location of the acupoints. We will hold 3-4 conference meetings to announce this news for the TCM acupuncture doctors and medical students. The traditional medicine in Asia, including the traditional medicine of China, Japan, Korea, Tibet, India and so on; but the Chinese Medicine is most popular and well-developed theory of all traditional medicines. So, the TCM terminology and International standard acupoints locations should be easily used in English and well-known by the European countries and USA.
The contents of 「WHO INTERNATIONAL STANDARD TERMINOLOGIES ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC REGION (2007)」are : Introduction, general, Basic theories, Diagnosis, Disease, Therapeuties, Acupuncture and moxibustion, Medical treatment, classics of tradition medicine. There were 3543 TCM terms were explained in English. The content of 「WHO STANDARD ACUPUNCTURE POINT LOCATIONS IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC REGINE (2008)」 are 316 Acupoints which anatomic location were explained in English. These TCM terms were written in English will help every medical doctor to study TCM and can be easily communicated to each other in English. In 2008, TCM doctors and acupuncture doctors should follow this international TCM trend and announce this news to every TCM doctors in Taiwan.
