中醫藥國際人才之培訓暨中醫藥國際交流平台之建立（2-2）

加入世界衛生大會（WHA）及世界衛生組織（WHO）為國人一致之目標，許多民間團體，如台灣醫界聯盟積極努力推動。唯中醫藥界過去與相關國際傳統醫學組織較少交流，而未參與，因此積極培育中醫藥國際交流人才乃刻不容緩之事。

本計畫為期二年，每年擬開設三學分54小時中醫藥英文研習班，利用週末上課，開設以英文講授之中醫藥課程，鼓勵國內中醫藥學術界、產業界及中醫藥相關科系在學學生修習（包括博碩士班研究生），讓學員習慣於英文環境討論中醫藥內容。

為使更多中醫藥界人士也能參與，本計畫每年也舉辦二天之中醫藥國際化研討會，全部活動以英文進行。99年度擬於台北舉辦「2010中醫藥國際化研討會」，會中將邀請5~7位國際知名傳統醫藥之專家學者作特別演講外，也邀請國內主管醫藥主管官員及專家學者對我國之傳統醫藥管理現況作特別演講，所安排課程除中醫藥相關內容外，也安排國際化相關課程，使學員有能力積極參與中醫藥國際事務，兩天之中醫藥國際化研討會將全程錄影，交中醫藥委員會存參。

另本計畫將架設中醫藥國際化網站，提供國內外中醫藥活動相關訊息，加強國內外中醫藥資訊交流。

Internationazation Personnel Training Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Establishment of Platform for International Cooperation (2-2)

Participating in the World Health Assembly (WHA) and World Health Organization (WHO) have been national goals of Taiwan. Many community based organizations, such as the Medical Professional Alliance in Taiwan, have been endeavoring for these goals. However, TCM field in Taiwan has not had an abundant exchange with international organizations in the past; therefore training TCM professionals with the skills to communicate internationally are matters of urgency. 
In this two year project, English courses in traditional Chinese medicine will be given on weekends. The total class time for each year will be 54-hours, and at the end of the program, 3 credits will be given. Although these courses are about TCM, they will be fully conducted in English for the purpose of encouraging people in the TCM spectrum, including academic staffs, industrial workmen and students from related graduate and undergraduate faculties to discuss Chinese medicine in an English environment. 
For more people to participate, the project will also organize a two day “Symposium on Internationalization and Globalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine” each year, fully conducted in English. In the second year (2001), the two day symposium will be held in Taipei. Five to seven international experts together with other domestic experts will be invited to address on traditional medicine in their home countries. As for the contents, besides TCM related topics, internationalization related lectures will also be arranged to encourage and prepare the attendants to participate in internationalization of TCM-related affairs. The two day symposium will be video recorded into DVDs and submitted to the Committee on Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy, Department of Health for the storage of future reference.
This project will also set up a TCM internationalization website and provide domestic and international TCM related information and activities to enhance the TCM related information exchange.
