『鈷六十加馬射線在中藥材貯存條件之研究與評估』

本研究目地主要是設定不同劑量的加馬射線照射，依據優先管制之中藥材品項所列之二十種中藥材為研究評估對象，試圖尋找出加馬射線照射的最佳參數。經由此研究，除了能完全明瞭中醫藥材是否會因輻射照射而產生性質變化之外，若更進一步能利用此方法，對國內外中醫藥業提供一簡單而經濟之滅菌及保存方式，則除了能克服中藥材生菌發黴之困擾，更能對中醫藥材達到品質控制之要求。
根據文獻報告的描述，利用2.0kGy以下的加馬射線照射處理後的中醫藥材並無法達到完全滅菌之效果，然而選擇過強劑量的照射，更可能因藥材本身性質的改變而影響治療效益，因此本研究乃選擇3、6、9kGy之加馬射線做為照射之劑量，然而中藥材的輻射照射前後性質是否發生變化，本研究即利用下述幾種重要的化學分析方法鑑定；主要利用FT-IR吸收光譜儀及高效能液相層析儀(HPLC)，進行中藥材中化合物及重要官能基之分析，藉以鑑定中藥材經過γ-射線照射後，是否會因輻射的破壞而改變整個藥物成份。而對不同的中藥材最適化的滅菌照射劑為何，乃利用前述經過γ-射線照射之藥材，在無菌培養室中，直接進行菌量檢測實驗評估，綜合上述之評估方法以決定出不同中藥材最佳的照射條件，完成最佳消毒滅菌條件決定後，本研究最後擬利用幾種常見包裝處理進行最適化包裝之評估。
對於此研究，曾選擇其中幾種中藥材進行初步研究，如甘草、黃蓮等，而研究結果給予許多重要之結論；即中藥生材進行加馬照射確實可達到相當好的滅菌效果，然而並非所有中藥材均須經過滅菌處理才可達到無菌狀態，例如：黃蓮與大黃，而且並非所有中藥生材所須之照射劑量均一致，另外經過加馬射線照射之中藥生材並非均產生明顯之化學變化，由此初步結果更顯現此研究之可行性。

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of radiation sterilization using the isotope 60 Co gamma ray on Chinese medicine. In order to determine the optimal sterilization condition, the comparison will be studied between the different types of Chinese medicine. These can be divided roughly into six groups on the basis of plant morphology, root, stem, leaf, flower, seed, and fruit. We also used three different radiation dose of gamma ray including 3, 6, and 9 kGy in this study. Through this research, we can understand whether the property of Chinese medicine will be affect by radiation. Further more, we can use this method to provide a simple and economic way of conservation and sterilization.
