十全大補湯減輕抗癌化學藥物之副作用的效果

本研究的目的乃探討十全大補湯的合併能否減少化學抗癌藥物的副作用。我們將由門診中篩選60名臨床上沒有中醫學上的「陰虛證」而必須接受化學藥物治療的胃癌及大腸癌癌症患者，隨機將他們分成兩組。一組接受化學藥物治療及安慰劑(對照組)，另一組則接受化學藥物及中藥的合併治療。化學藥物乃以5-FU (2300mg/m2)及leucovorin(100mg/m2)每週一次，而中藥則以十全大補湯濃縮中藥粉末，每次4g，一日3次。治療及觀察期為3個月。每位受試者將於治療前及治療後每一個星期，測量體重，並接受臨床症狀評估及兩週一次接受抽血及驗尿檢查。臨床症狀評估項目包括疲倦乏力、食慾不振、噁心、嘔吐、下痢、便祕、口腔潰瘍、脫髮、感染、出血、疼痛、神經症狀(如手足發麻)等十二個症狀，將每個症狀的嚴重度分為五級，並給予分數(0-4分)。另一方面，抽血檢查項目包括肝功能(GOT、GPT、Bilirubin、alk-P)、腎功能(BUN、Creatinine)、血球(WBC、granulocyte、RBC、platelet及Hb)等項目，驗尿則包括蛋白尿及血尿等項目。我們將以Student’s t-test統計分析兩組之間的各種數據的差異。我們深信，此研究結果將提供中藥是否能減輕化學藥物治療癌症的重要參考。

The effect of Shi-quan-da-bu-tang to reduce the side-effects of anti-cancer chemical agent

The aim of this study is to investigate whether the combination of herb drug prescription Shi-Quan-Da-Bu-Tang (SQDBT) can reduce the side effects of anti-cancer chemical agents of the patients with cancer. Sixty outpatients with gastric cancer or colon cancer will be included in this study. All of them have no symptoms/signs of Yin vacuity but need receive chemotherapy. They will be randomly divided into two groups, one receiving chemical agents with placebo (starch) as control and one receiving chemical agents with SQDBT as treated group. The chemotherapy for each subject will be performed with FU (2300mg/m2) leucovorin (100mg/m2)weekly. And 4g of watery extract of SQDBT will be given to each patient in treated group three times per day. The therapeutic period will be 3 months. Every subject will be evaluated the body weight and clinical symptoms/signs weekly and will receive blood examination and urine routine at an internal of 2 weeks.
