抗老化中藥療效評估之基礎研究—中藥中黃酮類抗氧化成分之吸收與代謝

自由基學說為老化機轉的重要理論之一。人至老年期,自身防禦自由基產生的功能減低,致使自由基之產生增加,因此使各種功能出現老化現象,終至死亡。黃酮類在許多體外試驗顯示具有清除自由基及防止脂質過氧化作用。自由基及脂質過氧化被認為與動脈粥狀硬化、癌症、慢性炎症及老化有密切之關係。因此,黃酮類抗氧化成分如能順利吸收進入體內,應可預防此些慢性病及老化的發生。

黃酮類在天然物中常以配糖體型式存在,其生體利用度至今仍不甚清楚。本研究擬針對富含黃酮類的中藥如枳殼、枳實、化橘紅、陳皮及槐花米等煎劑進行活體試驗,於血液或尿液中定量naringin、hesperidin及rutin等黃酮類成分的代謝物,以瞭解其吸收及代謝情形,應有助於評估這些中藥用於防老之可行性。

Absorption and metabolism of antioxidant flavonoids in Chinese herbs

Free radical theory is one of the important theories of aging mechanism. As body getting old, the ability of protecting from radical formation decreased with age and resulted in aging progress until death. Bioflavonoids demonstrated as promising free radical scavangers and lipid peroxidation inhibitors. Free radicals and lipid peroxidation are considered to be correlated with atherosclerosis, cancer, chronic inflammation and aging. Therefore, if antioxidant bioflavonoid can be absorbed into the body, they could be useful in preventing such chronic diseases and aging.

Many bioflavonoid exist as glycosides in nature. Their bioflavonoid are still unclear. This study attempt to investigate the absorption and metabolism of naringin, hesperidine and rutin in Chinese herbal decoctions e.g. zhiqiao, huajuhong, chenpi and huaihua.
