人尿製備物對於大鼠與老化相關的抗氧化劑及抗氧化酵素的影響

尿及尿的製備物用於醫療用途已有很久的歷史。而中醫也認為人尿可以延年益壽,防止衰老。目前有關於衰老的學說以自由基學說最受注目。含氧自由基或其它具氧化能力的物質會造成脂質過氧化,脂質過氧化會產生一些活性物質,引起一連串反應,而造成DNA、RNA、蛋白質、細胞膜及細胞構造的損傷。而體內保護系統包含脢類抗氧化物如:超氧化物岐化脢 (Superoxide Dismutase )、過氧化物氫化脢 (Catalase) 及谷胱甘呔過氧化脢(Glutathione Peroxidase),三種脢協同作用可有效的清除自由基。及非脢類抗氧化物如:維他命E 、維他命C、谷胱甘呔(Glutathione)等。本研究探討人尿製備物對年輕及老年大鼠抗氧化保護系統的影響;測定血中、肝臟及其他組織的脂質過氧化程度,非脢類抗氧化物的含量及脢類抗氧化物的活性。

Effect of an urinary preparation on aging associated antioxidants and antioxidative enzymes in rats

The use of urine and urine extracts for medical purposes has been known for centuries. The application of human urine for various conditions including aging was also known to medicinal men in China. The most popular hypothesis in the ongoing efforts to understand the phenomena of aging is the free radical theory. Oxygen radicals and other oxidants appear to be toxic in large part because they initiate the chain reaction of lipid peroxidation. Lipid peroxidation generates various reactive species with the capability of causing damage to DNA, RNA, proteins, cellular membranes, and cellular organization. The protective system include enzymatic antioxidants, such as superoxide peroxidase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and non-enzymatic antioxidants, such as vitamine E, vitamine C and glutathione. Effect of the urinary preparation on the antioxidant defense alteration in young and old rats was studied by examining the level of lipid peroxidation, amounts of nonenzymatic antioxifdants and
