中藥對過敏性鼻炎治療之免疫機轉研究

本計劃擬研究以中藥混合複方包括：(辛夷散、小青龍湯、香砂六君子湯)等組成，在臨床上對出現鼻子癢、打噴涕、流鼻水、鼻塞等症狀且經由抽血檢驗，血中過敏抗體IgE呈陽性反應的過敏性鼻炎患者50例治療三個月，並在治療前，治療中每個月，及治療後分別對患者血中的過敏抗體IgE的總量，細胞激素包括：(IL-2；IFN-g；IL-4；IL-10)的濃度改變，T淋巴球細胞膜上CD30蛋白質的表現，及嗜中性白血球的吞噬能力做檢驗，以上檢驗均有非過敏性鼻炎的病患以接受同樣的檢驗作為對照組比較。我們希望經由上述的實驗來了解中藥對過敏性鼻炎患者的治療是否經由調節人體內，細胞激素及T淋巴球(Th1；Th2)的表現，及是否有影響到T淋巴球和嗜中性白血球的活化。此項結果可以做為日後中藥對該疾病治療的指標，此外並希望經由此實驗建立中藥對過敏性疾病研究的體外篩選模式，藉由此模式來尋找出中藥或是中藥藥效成份中對免疫機轉有影響的藥物，如此將有助於過敏性疾病的整體中醫藥研究及做為臨床上使用的指標。

Immunolgic studies on allergic rhinitis treated by chinese medicine

We plan to study the role of combined Shin-Yi-San,Hsiao-Chin-Long-Tang,and Hsian-Sa-Lieu-Gin-Tze-Tan therapy in the treatment of 50 patients with allergic rhinitis,who are clinically presented as nasal itchingm sneezing, rhinorrhea a nd nasal congestion.All patients have serological test to confirm the elevaated levels of immunoglobulin E.Serum levels of total immunoglobulin E,cytokines including interleukin-2,interleukin-4,interleukin-10,and interferon-gamma, the presentation of CD3 0 protein on the plasma membrane of T lymphocytes, and phagocytic activity of polymorphonuclear leukocytes are studied before and monthly during treatment and to compare with those of normal controls.Our study is expected to understand the role of Chines e medicine in the modification of human cytokines, Th1,and Th2 lymphocytes,and the activation of T lymphocytes and ploymorphonuclear leukocytes to treat allergic rhinitis.
