七寶美髯丹的抗氧化作用之研究

近年來的研究顯示，氧自由基與過氧化脂質是動脈硬化、癌症等成人病的進行的重要促進因子，而抗氧化系統如SOD活性的低下被認為與老化的進行有密切關係。另一方面，許多中葯被發現具明顯抗氧化作用。它們被認為可能被發展為口服抗老化葯物。本研究目的乃是探討中藥方劑七寶美髯丹的試驗管內各種抗氧化作用。包括超氧陰離子的消除作用、H2 O2產生的抑制作用及其對氯化亞鐵誘發之大白鼠肝細胞的過氧化之抑制作用。我們深信此項研究成果將提供中藥之抗氧化作用及預防老化之重要參考。

The Study on the anti-oxidative effect of Chi-Bau-Mei-Ran-Dan

Recent studies revealed that, oxygen radicalis and lipid peroxides are important potentiators in the progress of adult diseases including atherosclerosis and cancer. Moreover, the decrease of antioxidative activities such as SOD (superoxide dismutase) seems to be closely related to aging process. On the other hand, some Chinese herb drugs are found to have anti-oxidative activites. They are considered to be developed as oral anti-aging drugs. The aim of this study is to investigate the anti-oxidative effect of Chinese drug prescription Chi-Bau-Mei-Ran-Dan (CBMRD) in vitro. The scavenging effect of CBMRD on superoxide and H2O2 will be measured. And the inhibiting activity of CBMRD on the production of lipid peroxide from rat liver cells induced by Fecl2 will be tested. We believe that the results of this study will offer an important information for Chinese herb drugs to be as anti-oxidants and anti-aging agents.
