長庚紀念醫院為推動中西醫結合的臨床教學訓練制度，早在創辦中醫部（現為中醫醫院）之初，即已規劃辦理中醫住院業務，由早期的零星個案，發展成立中醫的專屬病房，朝向中西醫結合治療的新模式進展，以專病住病住院為主軸，並藉此發展「住診教學」。

中西醫合作示範病房不僅可以同時訓練中西醫學的思路與互動，更能明確傳統中醫學的特色優勢，吸收現代醫學科學的優點，使中醫臨床醫療逐步邁向實證醫學的境界，進一步與國際接軌。

本計畫擬於長庚紀念醫院桃園院區建構中西醫合作病房，第一年以腦中風為主題，建構專病中西醫整合的臨床路徑。中醫各科主治醫師將指導見實習醫師及住院醫師，並率領中醫護理人員、中藥藥事人員組成全日三線之值班系統，病房迴診，教導診療病人及確實督導病歷記錄，包括理學檢查、中醫四診、鑑別診斷、理法方藥的思路、檢查及處置（針刺、傷科）及用藥等，此外，也需培養年輕醫師對病患溝通技巧及醫病關係之建立。

A combine care ward by TCM and Western medicine may enhance the idea and interaction between the 2 disciplines, and may learn a lot from western medicine. If we precede the training of both TCM and mainstream medicine, it would greatly help them in terms of globalizing evidence-based medicine.

First of all, this study constructs the hard and soft ware of the model ward and the reorganization of required personnel, also deals on the strategy to overcome the practical problems.

This plan is going to build TCM and western medicine ward in the Taoyuan branch, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The subjects will be stroke on the first year, to set up the clinical TCM and western medicine system for specific diseases.

The attending staffs of TCM will guide resident physicians, interns, nurses and pharmacists to organize the 24-hour on-duty lines, for example inspect the ward one round, teaching doctors make a diagnosis and give treatments. Moreover, we also teach young doctors the communicate skills and how to build good relationships between doctors and patients.
