中藥材輻射滅菌對包裝材料功能性質影響研究

本計畫係依據行政院衛生署中醫藥委員會九十六年度提昇中藥品質研究類研究重點1-3中藥材包裝及儲存條件之研究提出。中藥材主要來自天然植物、動物及礦物,除作為醫療用途外,國內消費者也以中藥材為膳食補養的食材。藥材從栽種的環境、採收後處理、包裝後的儲藏等過程可能都會影響中藥材之安全品質。目前國內中藥材並無特定規定的包裝貯藏條件,廠商多半以簡易包裝方式儲存與流通,尋求最適化的中藥材包裝和貯存條件對維持藥材品質而言是重要課題。本計畫之目標是對中醫藥委員會所公告必須有完整的包裝標示之54種中藥材飲片及27種中藥材,進行調查包裝與運銷貯藏保存條件現況。並選擇其中10種中藥材優先進行包裝適當性的探討,研訂適合中藥材用鈷六十加馬射線照射的包裝方式。也針對十二種市售柔軟性包裝材料,測試材料受鈷六十加馬射線照射後,對材料的機械強度、積層黏著強度、密封強度、外觀顏色、風味等特性的影響。期能延長中藥材保存期限,提供民眾優良的中藥材。

Study on the effect of irradiation on functional properties of packaging materials for Chinese medicine herbs

Traditional Chinese medicines are prepared from natural plant, animal and minerals. The safety quality of traditional Chinese medicines is affected by the growth environment, post harvest treatment, packaging, and storage conditions. At present, traditional Chinese medicines are packed with very rough method for distribution and storage. To enhance the quality of traditional Chinese medicines, the optimization of packaging and storage conditions is important subject. The objective of this proposal is to investigate the present status of packaging and storage conditions for those traditional Chinese medicines required to have completed packaging and labeling which is proclaimed by the committee on Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy, Department of Health. Ten of those traditional Chinese medicines will be selected to study the suitability of packaging for irradiation processing by gamma ray. The effect of irradiation on mechanical property, bonding property, appearance, and sensory characteristics of commercial monolayer and multilayer flexible packaging materials will be investigated as well.
