台灣原產黃花石斛的組織培養技術已建立,本計畫之目的在研發黃花石斛成為健康食品。首先,我們將探討黃花石斛在四氯化碳誘發小鼠肝損傷、去卵巢小鼠引起的骨質疏鬆、卵蛋白誘發的小鼠過敏及高脂飼料引起的小鼠肥胖的好處,這些結果可提供我們選擇開發的目標。第二,我們將使用體外試驗的方法分離出有效成分。第三,我們將評估黃花石斛的急性毒性、90天餵食毒性、致畸胎及基因毒性。

Health foods development in Dendrobium tosaense of Taiwan

The vegetative propagation of Dendrobium tosaense, a Taiwan original Dendrobium species, by tissue culture has been established. The purpose of this study is to develop a health food from D. tosanese (DT). Firstly, we will investigate the benefit of DT on liver injury induced by CCl4 in mice, osteoporosis in ovariectomized mice, allergy induced by ovalbumin in mice and obesity induced by high fat deity in mice. These results might supply us information to select a target for health food development. Secondly, we will isolate the active component from in vitro study. And this active compound might be used as a standard compound for quality control of the final product. Thirdly, we will evaluate the acute toxicity, 90-day feeding toxicity, teratogenicity, genotoxicity for DT.
