人類癌症基因體以驗證探討抗癌中草藥-子計畫四、中草藥調節血管新生基因、癌細胞轉移、侵潤基因對抗肝癌機制的探討

本子計畫為群題計畫之一部分,計畫內容是協同整合型研究計畫,以基因體實驗方式,發掘更多可用的中草藥,期盼抑制肝癌細胞血管新生與轉移梫潤,並且針對這些潛在而且值得發展的中藥,持續深入探討肝癌血管新生與轉移相關基因與其機制。期盼綜合這些基因表現的分析結果,漸次瞭解不同藥物在肝癌相關血管新生基因之間的變化,另外藉這項研究的結果,發現更多調控肝癌血管新生及轉移的作用的中草藥,供日後產學發展。由這項結果,不僅能瞭解基礎的機轉,更要拓展中醫理論,建立深厚「證據基礎」(evidence-based)的中草藥治療方式,促進肝癌藥物治療的發展,計畫由順天堂藥廠股份有限公司供應中草藥單方及複方萃取液,進行相關基因體的研究。計畫執行內容將涵蓋單方40種,複方20種中草藥的研究。

Evidence-based studies on anticancer of Chinese herbs by genomic medicine- subproject 4、Studies on the anticancer activity of Chinese herbs:Regulations of angiogenesis and metastasis-related genes

The purpose of this work is to investigate the biological activities as well as the relevant mechanistic aspects in a panel of Chinese herbal medicine capable of suppressing angiogenesis of hepatocarcinoma cells. The proposed genomic research utlizing the extracts of the available Chinese medicine herb should provide evidence-based information on them. The work is expected to broaden current approaches in healing hepatocacinoma that are prevalent in Taiwan and Souheastern China. As part of the program project, we will screen hepatocarcinoma cells by treating of extracts from 60 herbs and investigate their activities and genes associated with angiogenesis and metastasis.
