脈波信號與PPG信號特徵之相關性研究

國內外關於脈診科學化的研究相當多,然而這些研究之量化基準不一,使得從事脈波之研究者,在溝通上有障礙存在,同時,脈波信號與目前廣為西醫所應用的以光學方式取得之脈波信號--光體積變化描記圖 (Photoplethysmography; PPG) 之間的相關性為何,也一直缺乏探討,這些均限制了脈診相關儀器的發展,而其量化標準不一致、彼此資料間難以比較、和生理意義不明的疑慮, 也有礙欲將中醫脈診相關儀器標準化之使用。為了解除這些疑慮,擬針對上述問題進行系統性的探討,對於脈波信號與光體積描記圖信號的特徵差異與關連性做嚴謹的比對分析,期能為脈波信號的量化標準訂定及脈波所代表之生理意義的釐清有所貢獻。 本計畫希望以中醫脈診的理論,結合原有的觀念與知識,提出適用的分析方法,並架設一組量測模組,以非侵入方式測量信號,可望分析出中醫脈診在三部九候,各組合間的相關性,並擷取同步的PPG信號與心電信號,分析出各信號間的相關性。軟體撰寫部份,將以圖控式程式LabVIEW這套軟體撰寫分析系統。

Studies on the correlation between the features extracted from the pulse and PPG signals

Scientific analyses of pulse signals had been performed in several studies. However, these studies lacked an unified measure for quantitative analyses such that huge barriers still exist among related researchers and clicinians in communicating their findings. Meanwhile, very few studies have been devoted to the correlation analysis of the relationships between pulse signal and the other widely accepted physiological signals such as electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) signal. To solve these issues, this research project focuses on the correlations between pulse and PPG signal with a hope to reveal more physiological information hidden in pulse signals. Deduction from pulse theories of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) will be corroborated with both linear and nonlinear pulse analyses in this project. A scientific measuring instrument and LabVIEW-based analysis package will be developed to attain the desired goal. The result of this project will be helpful to interpret pulse signals on physiological basis and also rewarding in the development of a more popular instrument for pulse diagnoses.
