加馬線分解中藥材人參中殘留有機氯農藥之照射平台建立及其安全性評估

人參在東、西方國家常以單方形式入藥及做為食療補品,其價位高且近年來銷售量皆居北美草藥市場之前矛。因全球性的農藥不當使用,已造成農地之大量污染,尤其是有機氯農藥(organochlorine pesticides, OPCs)所需分解期長、多為脂溶性,可經由食物鏈而積聚於生物體中,因具致腫瘤、致畸胎等毒性,我國衛生署及美國FDA已規定不得測出或必須低於其低限值。有機氯農藥雖在部分國家已被禁用,但人參等中藥材中常可測得其殘留,是急需解決之問題。故本計畫以人參中藥材為標的,尋求簡單、有效、安全之方法以去除其有機氯農藥殘留問題。我們之前的研究以Co-60加馬線照射DDT等有機氯農藥已證實其可被分解,且農藥之分解效率隨照射劑量增高而增加。加馬線照射已被許多國家應用於人參等中藥材及食品之滅菌處理,本研究是將加馬線照射應用於分解中藥材中殘留之有機氯農藥,研究以HCB、α-BHC、β-BHC、γ-BHC、δ-BHC、PCNB、p,p’-DDE、p,p’-DDD、p,p’-DDT、o,p’-DDT十種有機氯農藥進行加馬線照射,探討上述各受測農藥之加馬線分解效率與照射劑量間之相關性。

Set up an irradiation-operation system to degrade organochlorine pesticides in ginseng Chinese medicine with safety evaluation

Ginseng has antioxidant and anticancer capacity, and is able to improve human immune system and blood circulation so it has been used as herbal medicine or functional food in Asia and westernized countries. However, due to the global soil contamination of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and their hydrophobic properties, OCPs may accumulate inside organisms through the food chain and then cause cancer development. The current FDA standard of PCNB, a common fungicide used in the cultivation of ginsengs, is less than 0.01 ppm. Our previous study has proved that gamma irradiation was an effective way to eliminate OCPs and the degradation efficiency was direct proportion to the dosage of gamma irradiation. Therefore, the objective of this project is to investigate the feasibility of utilizing gamma irradiation to eliminate OCPs from ginseng. Ginseng samples spiked with ten different OCPs, including HCB, ?HH\-BHC, ?HH]-BHC, ?HH^-BHC, ?HH_-BHC, PCNB, p,p?HH?HH-DDE, p,p?HH?HH-DDD, p,p?HH?HH-DDT, o,p?HH?HH-DDT will be treated with different doses of gamma irradiation (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 kGy).
